Drawing a 5-point star can be tricky to say the least.  Here’s how you can get a perfect star every time.  wit this technique you can make stars of any size.  It’s pretty easy, so give it  a try.

1. Use a compass or any round object to draw circle.

2. Find the center of that circle and use a protractor to mark off 72 degree points around the circle. You can use a printable protractor if you do not have one. Since a circle is commonly divided into 360 parts called degrees, we can divide 360 by 5 an get 72 ( so 5 x 72 = 360).

3. Connect the dots to get your star. I recommend using a ruler. If you have a transparent ruler, that can help. You can even use a part of a CD case cover as a ruler or use anything straight.

4. You can also connect the dots to make a pentagon. A 5-pointed star and a pentagon can share the same points.. it just depends on how you connect them.
